An NHS hospital is being sued after surgeons accidentally stitched a womans bowl closed during a hysterectomy.
The 55 year old woman attended Horton General Hospital for the operation which left her suffering from severe stomach pains as a result of
medical negligence.
However, after returing to the hospital two days after the operation, medics failed to diagnose the error and instead advised her to eat more stating that she was just constipated.
She was later found to e suffering from an internal rupture to her bowl and underwent a second operation to correct the damage.
She is now seeking
compensation from the Oxford Radcliffe Hospital
NHS Trust.
