Saga most competitive insurer in Britain
Motorists looking for cheap car insurance may be happy to know that the price of car insurance from the top ten insurance providers has fallen by £55.
Saga insurance has become the top competitive car insurance provider in Britain by a price comparison website.
According to the website, Saga is the most consistently competitive motor insurer in the country with its annual premiums sitting at just £176.
The average price for a year's cover stood at £240.75 among the top ten firms, including Lloyds TSB, which came second, and Lancaster Quick Insurance taking third place.
Head of motor insurance at the price comparison website said: "It is great news for the motorist that insurers are offering increased competition, meaning the average premium for the current top ten is over £55 lower for car owners than the previous analysis."
