Businesses should develop new management strategies to cut back on insurance costs

Businesses looking to reduce the number of claims made on its van insurance are being advised to develop on-road risk management strategies.

The advice came from the fleet information organisation, ACFO following figures from the Department for Transport revealed that 2,538 people were killed and 228,367 injured in over 170,000 road accidents in 2008.

The ACFO stated that firms can reduce their van insurance premiums by setting up assessment, reviews and triver training programmes for its drivers.
