Yes, you’re right Robin! But I also work in these blogs: www.oikossanjulian.blogspot.com www.escuelacuatro.blogspot.com Very different each other. In Oikos San Julián I only help kids and in the other I try to show what you can do with a blog to a school that doesn’t has any idea about Internet, Web 2.0 and all this.
I’m also happy to meet you and visit your blog. Lorena

Hi Robin--depends on what you want to discuss. To see what's already being discussed, you can go to the forum page and contribute to one of those conversations. If you have a topic you'd like to start discussions on, then at the forum page, click on the link to Add a discussion and create your topic. You can also visit individual pages and blogs and comment there.

The forum is the best place for asking more general questions for which you'd welcome feedback from the entire group. If you have a specific question or topic, sometimes it might make sense to post on a particular community member's page--like if you're writing a mission statement, then you might visit Danielle or Maya, both of whom are working on those as you can see in the forum.

Hope this helps. Let me know if it doesn't. :-)

Hey Robin--glad to see you here! Since you maintain what, like 5 blogs or something, I'm expecting that we'll be learning a lot from your experiences. :-)

Hi Robin,
Welcome to the group. Your kids are great writers. Important work to give them creative outlet when they are young. I look forward to learning more about it.

About Me:
I'm the E.D. of a literary nonprofit called Writers in the Schools (WITS). Our website is http://www.writersintheschools.org. We started a blog in April, and I'm trying to figure out what it wants to be when it grows up. The URL for the blog is http://witsblog.org. I'm hoping to get suggestions and feedback about the process.

I have two personal blogs which I've been keeping for 3.5 years. The Other Mother is a lesbian mommy blog at http://theothermother.typepad.com. Big Window features poetry, art, photography, and other creative projects that IMHO quicken the heart.

Question about Nonprofit Blogging Project

Hi Better Bloggers,

I have a question for you. First, an update: I've now hired 3 bloggers for the nonprofit blog, A Poem a Day. All three of them are teachers in our program. I will meet with them as a group Thursday afternoon. I'm trying to think about what they need to know to get started. Beyond the technical--as in, how WordPress works-- what do I need to let them know, first off. Although none of them are bloggers per se, they are very capable wr… Continue

An Update on Updates

Since joining the group, here are a few things that I've been doing, blog-wise:

  • I created a unique "ABOUT" page for each blog. I'm still developing the landing page concept. If you have ideas about how to choose the items on the landing page, let me know.

  • I finally managed to set up Google Analytics on my blogs. It would be embarrassing to say how long it took me to figure this out so I won't! Maybe I can use this new information to help choose what goes on the l

Free Stuff, Sneak Previews, etc.

Do you get these emails from publishers offering to send you a book with the assumption that you will blog about it? Or they send a link to preview a story in a magazine? I got 10 of them in my email today. Often I don't even bother answering these emails. Should I adapt a more pro-active strategy? Thanks in advance, Robin
