Queensland Here I Come!

Being based in Western Australia I don’t get much opportunity to get out and about!   So the good news is next week I’m going to be in Queensland for two Aquaculture conferences. Trouble is — lets be honest here — there aren’t probably that many people in the aquaculture industry who are into blogging, podcasting, Web [...]

Listen To The Wisdom Of Your Network

Thanks to everyone who helped me demonstrate the power of personal learning networks for my presentation yesterday. Your comments, tips and advice were THE essential part of my presentation because I wanted to demonstrate a personal learning network in action to show how it extends our learning and reflection beyond what is normally achieved [...]

Help Me Demonstrate The Importance Of Personal Learning Networks!

I’d really love your help to demonstrate the importance of personal learning networks so I’m hoping you will help me with my presentation by sharing your thoughts. The Background I’m doing a presentation for Educational Computing Association of Western Australia (ECAWA) State Conference next Friday to overview the ways educators can use online tools to forge personal [...]

About Me:
My reputation as the reluctant blogger is well known.

WHY, because I originally started off as a podcaster (for a year now). By podcasting I realised that I had so much information to share so I set up a wiki. All of a sudden it dawned on me that I had opinions and thoughts that I wanted to share so the reluctant blogger became an actual blogger!

I am considered a newbie to blogging, my site has only been going for 5 months, and decided to that joining the 31 Day Project was a good idea! My original goal was to do it is part of my personal learning journey, but over time realised that the community we formed holds so much potential for learning and connecting to other people than working as an individual.

“I am about practical application of technologies in education, and most importantly HELPING OTHERS”.

My sites are Mobile Technology in TAFE (TAFE stands for tertiary and further education) and focus on the uses of Web 2.0, e-learning and m-learning (mobile learning) in education.

Hitting the Bull's Eye

The key message I learnt from a training course years ago, which I believe is helpful advice for bloggers, is the first step to organising content for a class is deciding what information is really important and what would be covered only if there is time to spare.

The idea is you l…

Hi Sue, I liked your wiki so much that I "discovered" it on StumbleUpon. It deserves a wide an audience as possible.

Here is the link, it is the top one.

Hi Sue,
Can I borrow your "reluctant blogger" title for my blog's About Me page? It's one of my leftover tasks from the BB31 Challenge, and I think I fall into that category too!

Hey Sue--any way that you could cross-post some of your "regular" blog posts into your blog here? That way I could feature them on the main page, especially since you're doing some good stuff that would probably be helpful to members.

Hi Sue--Ning doesn't have it's own chat widget yet, so I just embedded a Meebo chat room widget on the main page. Let's see if that works for us. All feedback welcome, of course.

Fortunately I am used to Ning as I have my profile all set up at EdubloggerWorld. Thought I would challenge the other over achievers by changing the theme of my page :)

Waiting for Alex to do hers as she is really good at changing her theme at Ning.
