Hometown:
Tiny Village in north central BC Canada
About Me:
I live in a remote part of the Cariboo area of B.C. Canada, on the outskirts of a small village of 350 people. I am a wife, mother of three and grandmother of one. I am neither too fat or too thin, just a little plump. I have all my teeth, but would like more hair. Just a little grey but only 'Nice and Easy' knows for sure. I tend to be too outspoken and trying not to care. I cannot 'agree to disagree' because I know I'm right! I like to make people laugh, at me not them. A cave dweller at heart although not in the least bit shy. We have a dog, wish I could shave her. I retired early, and have nothing and lots to do.

I didn't realize when I joined that I would, in fact, be creating another blog, but learning at the same time. A good idea. I have been blogging for about 2 years. I started on Yahoo 360 and I keep that up but I find no one wants to comment. I use it as a mirror for the posts I have on Cariboo Ponderer, on Blogger, so it is backing up my posts.

I am currently wondering if I am wasting my time blogging, am I reaching anyone and for what purpose. Building a better blog, I hope, will help… Continue

I find that writing every day and visiting every day a bit time consuming so I am trying now to visit on weekends when most people are not reading my stuff anyway. My high spots are Monday and Thursday so I always try to post on those days, but very few visit Friday and Saturday so I do most of my visiting then or I promote another blog.

Thought I'd drop by to see what you were up to and I see you've been invaded by bears! Quite dramatic compared to the neighborhood cats we have in suburbia. How will we ever keep up..... I'm sitting here blogging and the cat is purring just doesn't have the same punch :)

I am trying to organize. Getting all my email sent to one place helps. I spent some time yesterday looking for a PIM (freeware or Web2) that will help me organize myself. I do most of my church admin blog on IE7 as the majority of the people who read it use that, that way I can be sure they are seeing what I am seeing.

My browser of preference is Firefox and one of the extensions that has helped me a lot is 'Split' which allows me to split my screen so I can drag information to another blog.

Hi Vic
you've definitely come to the right place. Many of us have just completed the 31 day challenge to building a better blog, and there are all sorts of ways to 'drive traffic to your blog' as they say. We'll help all we can. Michelle Martin who has organised this blog is a wiz at all of this so you have landed well!
Welcome!

Thanks, Vic. It's an olive branch, which I think represents me pretty well.

I like your photograph. It is so friendly.

Hi Vic, it's great to see you here and it's even greater to have a nearby friend in Canada :)

Welcome Grace,
Better blogging has certainly worked to increase the original groups audience, so I bet it will work for you too. I look forward to you entertaining us with tales fo the great white north.

Let me get this straight, you live in the middle of nowhere with very large wild things around and you have a big white hairy dog? No wonder you want to shave it, it must be covered in mud or tracking in major amounts of ice and snow all the time.
