I am looking for the following social plugin for my WP blog. This plugin adds following after each post :

I searched in Google but could not find it. Is it really a plugin or a manual code has been added in the post template ?

I found this plugin in action at : The Simple Dollar.com

Hi Eklavya
Hope you are well, I still follow your blog after the BB31days challenge. It could just be a simple bit of coding rather than a plug in, built into the template. I'll try to look into this more for you.

I use the share this button, although have discovered this new one, which I may implement very soon if I can tweak it abit to suit my own liking - http://www.milienzo.com/2007/10/07/new-wordpress-social-bookmarking...

Eklavya--have you signed up for Feedburner? That looks to me like the links that get added when you burn a feed at Feedburner for your blog and then select those options. Have you checked into that?

Thanks Laura and thanks Michele for replying to my post. I also follow your blogs through my reader. Owing to shortage of time, I cannot interact much with my fellow bloggers, yet I am monitoring all that is being written in the blogosphere. All the participants of 'BB31days challenge' are so dear to me and I can't imagine my blogging life without them. So I'll be in touch always.

Regards that plugin, I myself feel that it's a sort of code included in the template itself. Laura, if you can find something more about it, do tell me. I shall be grateful :)

Michele I don't think it is something related to feedburner. I checked all the options there but could not find anything like this.

Hi Eklavya

I've been playing with the plugin I mentioned above (it's on my blog currently for the next week or so!). very similar to what you are seeking is the semilogic bookmark me one which can be found at: http://www.semiologic.com/software/widgets/bookmark-me/

I've been struggling to find the best way to do sharing bookmarking plugins myself. Used Alex Kings 'Share This' which worked very well, although I dislike pop-up boxes on posts. I may return to this one soon after finishing trialling the one I have on at the moment.

By the sound of it, you don't want lots of icon images of bookmarking sites, just some simple link texts.
having all the icons is nice and bright, but I do feel they distract from the important bit - the text!

This is a nice cleaner one, although in its current version only displays the icons rather than text, and highlights in full colour when you hover over. http://push.cx/sociable

Let me know how you get on, quite happy to construct the coding for just simple straight forward text links if you'd like which you would then have to insert into your single post.php template page (quite easy honest!)
Laura!

Thanks Laura !

I shall try the semilogic plugin. Probably that would work. I'll tell you about the results. Thanks again :)

I have it sussed for you!
If you use Feedburner to manage your RSS feeds (it's free and easy to set up and it gives you statistics about how many people use your feeds etc!), you can use the 'optimise' area of your account, and add some thing called 'FeedFlare'. Feedflare enables you to add various links to just your RSS feed and/or display them on the actual post. As well as social bookmarking sites, you can add other bits too.

I added it to my feed only last week, so these extra links appear in just the RSS feed readers, although you can choose to have them appear in the actual article on your site too! Really simple to set up, just tick the boxes of what you want to appear! See the image below which shows the feedflare page...

Take care
Laura

Thanks a lot Laura ! I shall check my feedburner account and add this feedflare utility to my blog. So nice of you. I am grateful that you took time from your busy schedule and find this.

I use this too, but I find that even though I select them for my site as well, it doesn't work for me. Any ideas?

Not that I particularly need it now. I use a plugin called 'sociable' which I have on my site at the moment. It looks really nice.
