Is it just me, or does it seem like a lot of other folks have fallen off in their blog posting of late?
For me, I know that work has certainly picked up with the back-to-school rush, the end-of-the-year-spend-the-rest-of-the-money-in-your-budget-by-December madness.
Is that the case for everyone else?
I'm also not feeling oh-so-inspired to blog. But that's just me. I'm not sure that I even care. Should I care? Can you inspire me?
I doubt anyone else can inspire you to blog...unless its by their actions or blog posts causing a reaction in you that you feel strongly enough about to blog about :).
I have felt very inspired to blog lately, but on what? I was at a bit of a loss for content, but felt the need to write. Maybe I need to ressurect some old stories and start trying some writing again....
We did debate one point :) her thoughts are if you can't think of anything to blog about then walk away. Whereas I find Darren Prowse technique works well for me. Plan a series of post - focus on a topic area that interests you and write it differently from others.
For a laugh you may hear them explaining to me that my blogging tone is "rant". We had a really good discussion about this with them even pointing out that was exactly what I was doing debating if I rant.
There a lots of people struggling to blog at the moment. Maybe that is normal?
I know that many educational bloggers are struggling to blog as a result of their interaction on twitter - sense of informatiion overload and feeling of what can they really say that is different from what they are learning in twitter. Which I see as a real shame because their readers are missing out.
I'm not sure that I even care. Really gets back to the reason why you blog. Ulimately for many of us the reason why we blog is for ourselves. And as such the only person who can ultimately "inspire you is yourself" -- unless off course we talk chocolate????? mmmmmmm
I think my biggest issue right now is simply time. Work has gotten busy and I'm finding that I'm putting to work much of what I've learned through blogging over the past 6 months or so. So this is a good thing. And I expect I'll see a resurgence in my blogging when I'm out of the weeds a bit...
This is definitely my problem right now. I have NO TIME to THINK!! It's making me crazy! I'm hoping that things will ease up and I'll get back into the groove, but it's very hard when I'm so distracted by everything else. Especially when what I'm working on is not really related to what I usually blog about.
Me too. Blogging is a reflective practice for me, and when I am as busy as I have been lately I just can't do it as much as I'd like. My schedule will clear out in another two weeks, and I hope I can get back to doing things like all the challenges from this group. I keep doing them in my head....does that count?
My schedule has been absolutely crazy the last 4 weeks and looks like I have another 5 weeks of craziness. Am fitting in what I can do when I can but like Christine not able to even think about the weekly challenges.
Mmmm. End of the academic year over here and exams, all the tidy-ups and project closures are keeping my nose to the work grindstone. Found myself blogging about the 'time-poor' problem this morning, and about getting back into the productivity groove. I reckon we need to go easy on ourselves from time to time ... as Sue says, blogging is for us and for how we feel and when we feel like it. Unless of course, it's a business and the customers are expecting a daily dose.
